Default A severly quick question.

When your characters reset do you keep the items that were on you, gold, armor that you made and etc?

I remember there was a discussion somewhere on about it, but I didn't pay enough attention to it. Also what about skills do they get reset so that you have to find them again when it becomes resetted?

... maybe it wasn't a severly quick question, but nonetheless a question

My understanding is that you lose everything and become as through your character had just been created.

Word on the street is when the time comes, you'll lose everything for your character aside from the name, which will be reserved with a place holder character on your account. Goodbye gold, goodbye Items, Poof all of it ancient history.

Think of the fairness of people that didnt pre-order, they dont have the opportunity to horde items and stuff prior to release so you would have an advantage over those people to start with.

But what about people who buy the game one or two months after it's released? They'll be at a disadvantage compared to the people who have been playing since realease day.
I don't see that keeping the BWE progress would really be any different from that.

At release GW will be more differant than BWE.Items,abilites,quests,missions,ect... maybe changed. It would be much easier on everyone that all characters be reset

Just remember they might of changed items or completely removed them (skill charms/ rings) and they are stitting in peoples inventories. Would be a bit unfair if people in Beta got better weapons because they were broken but arena net fixed them, yet they were still out there in their origonal state.

It's all about giving the general public an even, level playing field to start from. It even applies to people in the BWE's. The knowledge you have about where certain skills are and where items can be found is a decent advantage already. And not all people who play the BWE's do alot of PvE. Myself, for example, I have spent about 2% of my time in the PvE parts but 98% of my time testing out different builds in the PvP arena's so I have collected/unlocked zero items, skills and spells.

Reason being:
#1 - I want a clear understanding of how PvP works and which profession combinations and skillsets I feel comfortable playing.

#2 - The missions and quests, as far as I know, are not dynamic in the sense that once you have done it ... you now know how to do it again. I want to experience these quests and missions and stuff after release in depth and explore every nook and cranny at my leisure, not under a 3 day only event timeline.
